Information:
Our speaker is Dr. Craig Troxel, Professor of Practical Theology at Westminster Seminary California. Dr. Troxel will speak on “Overcoming the Power of Seduction with the Power of Wisdom.” According to Dr. Troxel, he will address “the three chief forms of temptation that the Father warns his son about in Proverbs 1-9: Fast/easy money, casual sex, and peer pressure — which are personified in Dame Folly. The only thing that can overcome such temptations is the power of wisdom, which flows from the heart and is guided by faith and the fear of the Lord – which is personified in Lady Wisdom. This wisdom, which is from above, is full-orbed and is consummated in Christ, who is the wisdom from God.”
