First Family Church recognizes that God, in Scripture, has called men to have specific responsibility in representing Christ (Ephesians 5:33, Colossians 3:18-20, et cetera). Our men's ministry is dedicated to helping men grow in that respect - in their faith and to experience the close knit community life of First Family Church. We also hope to prepare young men to grow into mature believers in Christ. These things are assisted through periodic men's events such as breakfasts, retreats, and conferences throughout the year. We also focus on living out a dynamic Christian life that is an example to our families and community.

Ongoing men's ministry opportunities:

Prayer Partners:
This ministry meets on the first, third, and fourth Sunday to pray with the pastoral staff prior to the worship services. Each man is responsible to pray for the mentioned needs of the group on a specific day and throughout the week.

Men's Discipleship Group:

Every Wednesday, men are invited to FFC at 6am to meet with other men before work. At these meetings we will pray for each other and encourage one another in the Word and have a short theological lesson. At this time, the group is currently going through a study on seeing Christ in the Old Testament. Each week, a new, short passage will be assigned from a book in the Old Testament and the following week, it will be addressed. All are welcome to attend!

Men's Ministry in the Community:

The ministry meets once a month on the 2nd Saturday of each month to primarily help single moms, widows, the elderly and those in need in our church and community. It is a men's ministry that exists to glorify God in serving the church and the community the church is in. Every 2nd Saturday, the men who serve in this ministry meet for breakfast and prayer and then we go out to serve the blessings (that's what we consider those whom we get to serve) in our community that have requested work. The men go out in the spirit of Matthew 20:25-28, seeking to serve for Christ's sake. That is why those who are ministered to are considered blessings - for we are blessed to be able to serve.
